Is Nationals Park cashless? ›

In partnership with Headfirst, Nationals offer the opportunity for young ballplayers to connect with their favorite team while learning and practicing their favorite sport. Those interested, please visit: nationals.com/camps. Nationals Park does not accept cash as a form of payment for tickets, concessions or retail.

All gates open 75 minutes before scheduled first pitch for 6:45pm games and 80 minutes before first pitch for games with earlier start times., and Nationals parking garages and lots open 2 hours and 15 minutes before scheduled first pitch.

Its prime location, only steps outside of Nats Park in Navy Yard, makes it the most sought-after attraction for thousands of fans before, during, and after home games and special events. The Bullpen is the place to pregame and unwind for both baseball fans and locals alike.

Nationals Park is also non-smoking and a tobacco-free facility under D.C. law. "There is no exception for electronic cigarettes or any other type of smoking device, or for smokeless tobacco or any other type of marijuana or tobacco product," the park's code of conduct says.

Food items not in adherence to the following policy: Single-serving food items may be brought into the Nationals Baseball Stadium Complex, as long as they are contained in one of the approved bags under the Nationals then-current bag policy, or carried in your hands so the food items can be safely screened by security.

For MLB games, the Nationals Park bag policy requires all bags larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches to be clear plastic, PVC, or vinyl. These can be clear tote bags and on-gallon plastic freezer bags. Non-clear bags must be 5 x 7 x 0.75 inches or smaller, such as a clutch.

Please note, dogs are only permitted in sections 136-143. No dogs, excluding verified service animals, are allowed outside of these sections. Participants must complete the waiver in order to bring your dog into Nationals Park. Waivers must be brought to the stadium and cannot be submitted electronically.

The ballpark has a clear bag policy. Only clear totes and purses will be allowed inside the ballpark, except for small clutches (5" x7" x 3/4" or smaller). Exceptions will be made for diaper bags (16" x 16" x 8" or smaller) and ADA/medically necessary bags (16" x 16" x 8" or smaller).

Kids Eat Free at every game this season!

Kids Meal includes a hot dog, chips and bottled water. Available to all kids ages 12 & under. The Nationals Park Kids Zone is open to kids ages 10 & under from when gates open until the end of the 7th inning, weather permitting.

Fans must obtain a free voucher in order to participate in the autograph sessions – vouchers will be distributed on a first come, first served basis at Section 103, starting when the gates open 80 minutes before first pitch (75 minutes for 6:45pm games). Fans are limited to one autograph voucher per person.

In May 2023, the National Park Service announced that dozens of the 424 sites within the National Park System will no longer accept cash for entry.

ALL tickets and parking passes will be via mobile delivery through the free MLB Ballpark app. Please note all parking for Phillies games at Citizens Bank Park will be CASHLESS. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay and Google Pay).
